MCG Health, Inc. is the health system for the Medical College of Georgia Hospitals and Clinics, including the Children's Medical Center, the adult hospital, and Georgia Radiation Therapy Center as well as affiliated clinical services offered throughout the state. Ms. Sodomka has responsibility for the adult medical center and the children's hospital. Under her leadership, the Children's Medical Center received the top architectural design award from Modern Healthcare in 1997 and 2000. The medical center's patient satisfaction has been rated by Press Ganey as the highest among children's hospitals in the United States. A Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Ms. Sodomka has served on the board of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems of the Association of American Medical Colleges, on the executive committee of the University HealthSystem Consortium, on the Appalachian Council of University Teaching Hospitals, and on the regional policy board of the American Hospital Association. She is on the board of trustees of the Georgia Hospital Association and chairs the Partnership for Health and Accountability.
