Description de l’éditeur
This story tells the story of Dr. Red Robert’s, Helen Ormsby (Roberts), Mia Giantelli, and Sheriff Jim Malone (Red) who readers met in It’s A Matter of The Heart. This story starts off with when Mia Giantelli moves to Townsend Place from Syracuse, where she sets up two shelters for women who are victims of domestic violence. Join Mia as she walks through marriage, death, and new relationships.
Mia is hired at the community college a short distance from her apartment in Townsend Place as a counselor and psychology instructor. She is summoned to the sheriff's department to be informed of the conclusion of a cold case involving a family member. She thinks it has to do with her former husband's brutal death.
James, 'Red,' Malone, sheriff of the county of Townsend Place, informs her of the solution of this cold case.
Red remembers Mia from when she was a student nurse training in the Emergency Room in Syracuse fourteen years ago. He was a detective then and came to transport a prisoner, who was Mia's patient. Red would have liked to get reacquainted with her under different circumstances than the news he had for her regarding a cold case. He was delighted to see her again and hopeful that their professional relationship could possibly turn into more if and when the time was right.
