Japan & China GIE Trip
Description de l’éditeur
In Spring 2012 I, along with 24 of my classmates, set out on a thirteen day adventure to tour parts of Japan and China. This trip was part of the Global Immersion Elective program at UNC Kenan-Flagler business school. These GIEs are an opportunity for students to go a short trip abroad, meet with business experts and various companies to learn how to do business there. Students are also involved in pre-departure classes to learn about the country’s history, culture, traditions, along with timely business topics and trends.
I was extremely excited to be part of this GIE to Japan and China as Asia was always a region that interested me greatly. I joked that this would be my second trip to Asia, as I briefly crossed the Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul, Turkey on a family trip in late 80s, but the first that would last longer than a few hours.
This book is my way of sharing the many great experiences I had on this trip, concentrating mainly on sightseeing.
