Description de l’éditeur

The objective of this book is to help bridge the gap of understanding between the Japanese and American people.  There is a need for a better appreciation of the differences in our cultures and of our basic sameness as fellow humans.  This book uses photographs of beautiful gardens, temples and people of Japan as a framework to discuss some of those differences. And similarities as seen through the eyes of an American couple while on assignment in Japan.

This book covers over 20 years of travel to Japan and working with Japanese people by Al and Elaine Jackson.  We discuss their country, customs, language, history and religion.  Most pages contain one or more beautiful photos taken in Japan by the authors.
