In 1960,Milford Alabama is your typical small town in the deep south: white picket fences, Freshley cut lawns, parents taking their kids for ice cream. It hid an underbelly of deep segregation when high student Joshua Davis the teenage son of a white Pastor, begins a secret romance with beautiful Kayla Walker the Black daughter of a local storekeeper someone does not approve. Kayla goes missing and Joshua falls under suspicion to the surprise of many soon the FBI gets involved who is the real Pastor Roy Davis worshipped by so many?
