Killing Time

Bryce Russell, a New Zealand serial rapist and murderer, establishes himself as a businessman and politician in Australia. Meanwhile, Bob Asker, whose girlfriend Russell has murdered, is arrested, convicted of the crime, and sentenced to death. But Asker makes a dash for freedom from a crashed prison van and escapes to Australia using a dead friend’s identity. He, too, becomes a successful businessman and a tenacious stalker of Russell. When Asker’s life is thrown into chaos again by a Las Vegas investigative journalist, he arranges a ‘special police operation’ that sees the journalist deported from Australia and the Asker expose documents shredded. Meanwhile, Asker uses another graveyard identity to enter the United States so he can start a low-profile, nomad career as an interstate truck driver. When it is safe to return to Australia, he plans to set an elaborate casino trap for Russell, whose business and political careers are collapsing. Only one man can survive Asker’s winner-takes-all sting.
