A young woman awakens on a beach by a shipwreck in a strange, unfamiliar world. Her past is an enigma. She takes the name Lowenna, after a voice (in her mind?) shouts it out, not knowing the name will force her onto a path of mystery and danger. Nor does she realize that almost everyone will hate or fear her, because of the name.

When a dark mage attacks the city of Penbirth, many are killed and children are taken. Despite the discrimination she faces in the city, Lowenna volunteers to rescue the children. With the friends she makes on her journey, Lowenna hunts down the mage and his minions.
