Mantis and the Mole

ER had been Dr. Sam Petrie's specialty, and his love... until a violent gang war spilled into his world. He lived and breathed emergency medicine. This all changed one night when murderous drug gangs extended their killing into Sam's world.

Carl Thurston, a burly, gruff, streetwise cop and Sam's best friend, answered the call for police rescue in the ER , which had been taken over by gun- toting, bullet-spraying thugs of the local drug cartel. When the smoke cleared, the only two sons of the drug lord, Carlos Quinterra, had been shot and killed by Officer Thurston.

The dream becomes a nightmare as they are unwittingly entangled in a brutal web of retribution for Quinterra's sons, murder, and deceit which takes them from peaceful Upstate New York, to the serene and later blood soaked forests of Montana. As they struggle for psychological as well as physical survival, Sam and Carl find their strengths, the limits of their friendship and unconditional love.
