After Earth's space fleet defeats the Martian fleet at the Battle of Phobos, the Martian rebellion collapses. Terran space marines reconquer Mars. Diehard rebels retreat underground. A cargo spaceship captain, Daniel Meredith, must transport a captured rebel leader to Earth for torture and execution. It should be a routine voyage.
