It's present day, or thereabouts. North America's made up of thirteen countries. Caught in the power struggle between The Christian Republic of Texas and the Republic of California, a soldier named Braxton Alexander searches for the answers to life's burning questions. What is worth fighting for? Which side is right? And why do those aliens like old-time baseball so much? The answer to all of these questions is the same: It all depends.

With nearly two decades working as an advertising copywriter, Evan Brown is well-versed in the art of storytelling. Not to mention controlling, er, crafting a narrative. After witnessing the ever-growing political division in America, the the media's implicit role in doing so, it felt like the right time to satirize our times, and maybe even try to make some sense of it all. Or nonsense, depending on your point of view. Evan currently lives in California. He is also the author of a short story collection A-Sides and B-Sides.


Åsk Wäppling is a creative director by way of illustration and design. Fewer than 5 people in Sweden have the name Åsk, and she is the only one who has it as a first name. When she's not working as a creative technologist, she travels the world to do her Viking name justice."
