Parable of the Hurricane

When the police chief begged the roomful of party-goers to flee from the advancing fury of Hurricane Camille, they laughed.


When repeated warnings were sent to the residence of the Caribbean isle called Dominica that a killer hurricane named David was headed straight for their islands, they turned deaf ears.


They laughed—ignored—and died.


Now it is forecast that another storm—awesome in fury and unparalleled in immensity—is soon to unleash its devastation, and no one on earth will be able to escape it. But some will hear the warnings and will ride it out in safety.
