Production Management

The Production Management is the process of producingproducts through manufacture of raw materials into finishedgoods. The concept of production management was invented atthe time of industrialisation.Production Management is a broad field and its usage isrecognised in multiple areas which are concerned with providingservices to the consumers. A Production Manager is required infields like in Theatres as Stage Manager, Human Resources,Management, Accounting and Financial Management etc.A Production Manager's job working in an industry is toregulate the design of the product according to the wants ofthe customers. It also keeps a check on provision of rawmaterials, work force, money, materials and methods which areimportant for the manufacture of the desired product.Proper Product Planning and Control is employed to avoidfaults in the manufacturing process of the product to preventthe company from passing through the loss phase be it in thecase of resources or the reputation that the company hasdeveloped over the years of work.The Production Management department of the organisation issaid to be the most important part of the organisation. Manyother areas of work are affected if Production Management isnot carried out properly and therefore is also referred to asthe nervous system of an organisation.
