This case presents the question whether former Insurance Code section 11580.2, subdivision (i) (hereafter section 11580.2(i)),*fn1 establishing certain conditions precedent to a claim for coverage under an uninsured motorist policy, applied to claims on an underinsured motorist policy. The Court of Appeal found the subdivision inapplicable, and we agree.
