Radical Equality 2008

Radical Equality documents the rise and fall of three constitutional principles that upset the feudal alliance of economic monopolists (landowning English nobility), religious authoritarians (the Church of England), and mercenary militarists (redcoat soldiers) ruling the old world. By instituting the one person, one vote principle, the doctrine of separation of church and state, and civilian control of the military, our founding fathers built a government that protected human equality, but this protection was then overthrown by the elevation of corporations to a personhood more powerful than that of human beings, the creation of a privatized industrial arms complex, and the rise of a theocratic agenda within the Religious Right. Radical Equality exposes the inequitable ideologies used to justify the overthrow of our democratic principles: free-market fundamentalism, password Christianity, and benevolent hegemony. In so doing, Radical Equality shows America how it can regain its democratic moral compass.
