ISadoville: an isolated continental metropolis, sometime in a 1950's era that never was, where the rules of society are very different. Here, naked public humiliation is used to punish female offenders, and house maids are kept as sex slaves. Even free women have something to fear: their number coming up the city's Defilement Lottery when anybody who can claim them can make intimate use of them.

It is no place for a pretty and innocent woman from the provinces, and yet Danielle Gironde has come to Sadoville searching for her missing sibling Beatrice, surrendering her pride and modesty as she does so. She has been working in a Chastisement Shop posing naked and bound in its window as a living advert for its wares and then demonstrating sex toys and punishment devices for customers in its back room who may hire the use of her body to try them out on. Desperate for more money, she even spends a day off in an art gallery displaying sculptures that feature naked women trapped within them all the while interacting intimately with their critics.

Then Danielle finds a new line of work that, for select paying clients, bypasses the rules of the lottery system. She is turned into a ponygirl and ridden in variety of humiliating races; rows would-be lovers naked for a romantic picnic on the river; becomes the subject for an eccentric inventor's series of intimate and literally shocking experiments; is turned into a helpless "patient" being intimately stimulated and examined by sadistic "doctors" and tended by a chained "nurse" in a see-through uniform; spends a day clad in rubber as an intimately accessorized puppygirl pet of a dominating rich lady and then as the bride in a strange wedding ritual where she has to pleasure not only the "groom" and "priest" but the entire congregation.

During her perverse adventures, Danielle discovers tantalising clues to Beatrice's life in the city, but still she cannot find her. And then startlingly the answer is revealed ??" but by then it is far too late!
