Description de l’éditeur

The 1871 partnership of P.T. Barnum and W.C. Coup led to an important moment in circus history: the establishment of Barnum's first traveling circus, "P.T. Barnum's Museum, Menagerie and Circus." Barnum was a legendary showman known as the "Shakespeare of Advertising" for his innovative ideas, and as the developer of the circus train and the two-ring circus, W.C. Coup was a circus pioneer in his own right. In this 1901 volume, Coup recalls some of his most memorable circus experiences, including a wild ride on a runaway circus train, a search for an escaped polar bear on New York's Fifth Avenue, and of course, his dealings with the colorful Mr. Barnum.
