Full of clichés.
I feel like I’m reading a book written by a teenager that thinks that writing about all the tired clichés of a depressed teenager-become-woman. Of course the main character gets drawn back to her hometown and is reminded of her lackluster adolescence.
I had a hard time finishing the book because when my eyes should be moving side to side, they roll into the back of my head as nearly every page is riddled with rehashed ideas from every other book in its genre.
Lame.
As the book comes to a close, it’s done so over what seems like 10 pages. I guess Jill has a deadline to make!
Total garbage.
What’s a surprise is that I’ve seen the first episode of the series based on this book and it seems really good. Maybe I should stop reading books if Hollywood can do it better!
