Silent exit

Suze van Olst is 54 and a celebrated actress with a renowned theatre company. At The Company's fiftieth anniversary party – an extravagant themed event she can't wait to escape – she runs into someone from her past. An encounter she still feels uneasy about. As the evening unfolds, new friendships form, speeches are made, and artworks are unveiled. Bit by bit, the world behind the grand stage is revealed, along with the price actors must pay to inhabit new roles time and again.

Silent Exit is a story about careers that take unexpected turns, about bridges with names, about unease in the workplace, about cycling, about friendships that feel like love, about theme parties, about the concept of power in its many forms, and about leaving places without saying goodbye.
