This book is about a young girl named lundi who faces lots of problems in her life due to a secret that her mother was holding. She saw her mother and sister been killed before her eyes and in the situation she gets shot by her father.she becomes the only one to survive and this becomes hard on her that she tried to kill herself. later in the story she gets discharge and lives with her grandmother and uncle who treats her very well and take her to school. her grandmother dies of cancer and hand her a letter on her last day on earth. the letter becomes her hope of a new life and answers to questions she had of the killing. whon she knew as an uncle is her biologial further. the events of her been short result in her suffering from Epilepsy,which becomes the battle she won in the end through hope and believe to God
