Someday

Deputy Matt Reynolds gets shot on the job.  His only goals are trying to find his shooter and solve the case he's been working for a year.

 
Dr. Susan Ramos is in hiding from her abusive ex.  After all she has been through, she hasn't been able to trust her heart to another.  She knows better than to perform surgery on friends or family, but it's not until she saves Matt's life that she realizes Matt is both.  

Can they find happiness together before Susan's past catches up with them?  Together they race to find the shooter before he succeeds in killing Matt and Susan both.
