Sparked

I agreed to tutor her son to save his future in hockey, but I wasn't ready for this gorgeous single mom to save me.

I don't hand out grades students haven't earned. Not for coaches, not for the administration, and definitely not for the sexy mom of Deepwood Mountain High's star hockey player.

But Shae Huxley needs me to help her son pass my math class so he can play in the New Year's Eve hockey tournament and impress some talent scouts.

Too bad that's not my problem.

I've been behind the same desk for over two decades with a scowl that scares both students and parents alike, but this woman fearlessly calls me a bitter, judgemental bastard with no heart.

And something about the fire in her eyes has me shook.

Somehow, I find myself at her kitchen table, tutoring her kid, and eating dinners I pretend not to enjoy, while she challenges me on everything from my methods to my attitude.

She pushes all of my buttons. But hell if I don't love pushing hers right back.

Between algebra equations, heated touches, and evenings teasing eachother by the fire, I realize Shae's becoming my favorite kind of problem. Being with her and her son feels more like home than anything ever has.

So when the exam is done, how do I solve for the life I want once the New Year's clock strikes midnight?

Sparked is a short, steamy small-town romance featuring a husky high school math teacher with a heart buried under years of chalk dust and regret, and the fierce single mom who reminds him why he cared in the first place. Plus, an explosive happily ever after just in time for the new year!
