Starless Night

Hope's dad had been in the army for her entire life, dragging the family all over the country. While most army families can settle in a town for a few years at a time, Hope was more often leaving the town before she could learn its name, let alone make some friends. It made staying in the closet easier for her, avoiding any conflict that would come up if her father ever learned that she was gay. 

All that changed when she came to Kulpon Park and met Eddi, the girl who changed her life. If only Eddi wasn't an alien. If only her father wasn't hunting aliens. When Hope chased off Eddi, it had been to save her. But it didn't hurt any less. Stuck with the thought of living in Kulpon Park without Eddi, life felt dull and meaningless to Hope. There was still her old friend, and old crush, Jean. When Jean was the stars, Eddi was the sun, and it made it impossible for Hope to see what was right in front of her.
