State v. Paolone

Defendant appeals a number of convictions that arose out of his invasion of a home in order to assault a person who was visiting the occupants. In the process, a codefendant stole property that belonged to the homes occupants. We write only to address the assignments of error that are related to the trial courts admission of evidence of the codefendants statements to a police officer after the codefendants arrest; we reject defendants other assignments of error without discussion. We reverse and remand those convictions that are related to the theft of property and affirm those that are related to the assault.
