Description de l’éditeur
My e-book looks at thefts of Rembrandt paintings and etchings during the 20th century from 1921-1983. The Dutch artist was a master of using light and shadows and his paintings are coveted perhaps more than any other artist. The art works I have chronicled were stolen in Hamburg, Cologne, Boston, Ft. Worth, San Francisco, Rochester, New York, Ottawa and Rome. My text also describes the recovery of many of the masterpieces by local police, FBI, etc. In some cases the story of the recovered paintings and etchings wasn't described fully in newspaper accounts.
