Sunset Song

This is the first book in the trilogy ‘A Scots Quair’ It is set in the north east of Scotland on the fictional estate of Kinraddie in the early 20th century. The story revolves around a young woman, Chris Guthrie and the hardships endured by her and her family working their farm and trying to adapt to the encroachment of modernity. The family relationships are stormy and incestuous.
