Sure and Certain Shadows

    Ingrid and husband, Russell, shared a rough childhood on Kansas City streets. Coming together as teenagers helped them survive. Now adults, they strive to create a decent life. They want 'The American Dream' and are willing to work for it. When Ingrid disappears their hopes and plans dissolve.

    Ingrid always faced reality and managed to deal with it. However, now reality has deserted her. One minute she is chasing a thief who has taken her purse, the next she has followed him into a parallel universe. Landing in a different time and space, she is shocked and unable to understand what has happened. Ingrid tries to make sense of her surroundings. When she begins to accept this alien world her obsession is to escape, to find a way out and back to Russell. To do this she needs to survive and staying alive is not easy in American Nation.
