For years, Sheriff Hal Benson has been sweet on Meg Scott.

But the tough lawman turns shy around the pretty pharmacist. When Meg is mugged one night while closing up, he runs to her aid. Even though it's out of his jurisdiction, he'll do anything in his power to keep her safe. But when drugs start going missing from her shop, Meg's in hot water with the police.
