Then Colette changes the subject, setting her glass down. "I've got some particular rules," she announces. "Sexually, I mean."

I nod. "Okay."

"No name calling, humiliation, none of that. No physical restraint. I don't like being told what to do, I like to be invited. I don't like slapping or hitting." She takes a deep breath. "And no penetrative play. Not toys, not fingers, not even in my mouth."

"Okay."

"Tongues are okay, though," Joanie puts in.

"Yeah," Colette confirms. "A little bit. Like, if you can manifest an enormous succubus tongue, maybe not."

"Got it. I can't do that, by the way." I look at Joanie. "Same for you?"

She chuckles. "Not at all. And a little bit of spanking or name calling is all right. What about you?"

I shrug. "There's not much I can't get into, if it turns you on. Nonconsensual stuff is a hard line for me, but since we're having this conversation, I think we'll be okay there."

The citrus note of nervousness recedes a bit, but doesn't go away completely.

"You look kind of lonely sitting over there by yourself," Joanie teases. "Want some company?"

I lick my lips. "Sure!"
