Tadley CVpedia
Betwixt and Betwigged
Description de l’éditeur
Tadley’s CV is the world’s first ‘Local CV’. It is a profile of the community of Tadley, Hampshire, UK, using a forward-looking history technique, based on the format of a CV (curriculum vitae). Tadley’s CV forms part of an initiative called ‘The National CV of Britain’ (http://www.thenationalcv.org.uk/index.html). Provided with Tadley’s CV is Tadley’s CVpedia, an expanded description of local attributes and achievements. Tadley provided the witches' brooms for the Harry Potter films and made Spitfires during World War II. When a balloonist landed near the village in 1853 and enquired of his whereabouts, a local man's response provided the town with its nickname: 'Tadley, God help us!'. Tadley is the headquarters of The National CV Group. Tadley’s CV is provided as an exemplar: one day communities and organisations worldwide will have their own CVs, engendering a buoyant sense of belonging.
