KANDAHAR -- Denying links with Pakistan's premier spy agency, Inter services Intelligence (ISI), Taliban on Tuesday (Sept. 27) said Maulvi Jalaluddin Haqqani is not a separate force and "receives all guidance for operations from the leader of Islamic Emirate." In a statement emailed to Afghan Islamic Press (AIP) in Pashto and English languages Taliban said that the Americans' statements regarding "thunderous" Taliban attacks aimed at confusing the minds of the people and giving the impression that the ongoing situation in Afghanistan was in their control.
