Kit and her bandmates in The Force are on a crash course toward Clarity, a totalitarian world owned and operated by Herm Shan Fastico, the most ruthless hypercapitalist in known space. His Organization wants their loyalty, their silence, or their disappearance from all space and time, and any of those possible outcomes will suit him just fine.

Armed with nothing but rock and roll, stagecraft, an inoperable space bus and the stubborn belief even machine sentience deserves independence, Kit races to outwit entire fleets of corporate gunships, rescue her friends, and prove once and for all she's something greater than the sum of her circuits. Yet every choice she makes sends ripples through a galactic power structure still contested after centuries of cold war.

Now Kit must decide what she's willing to risk for autonomy and her friends, not to mention what her future could become if she succeeds. If she fails, the galaxy may lose more than its greatest touring rock band: She's its last hope for a democratic future.
