How does one write an accurate memoir when the subject makes it close to impossible? In 1928, Teddy Madison’s life is recreated in print. The novelist, Mrs. Fairfax, sees Teddy’s privileged and inflated world over the last fifteen years through reading letters written back and forth from New York to Paris to London, along with Teddy’s diary. Mrs. Fairfax battles the issue of subjectivity as she writes based on the contrasting opinions of Teddy’s biggest enablers and greatest adversaries.
