The Bagadons

Jim Sutter had no idea when he started as Hallow Grove's new sheriff that his life was going to become stranger and more mysterious with each passing year.

The four-hundred-year-old town lies in a shallow valley surrounded by a vast, ancient forest so impassable that hikers are urged not to traverse it or camp there overnight, for many have gone missing, never to be seen again. Legends say that the forest is alive and inhabited by creatures that have been there thousands of millennia before humans emerged to walk the Earth. 

As a new day dawns in the town, an unnatural fog rolls in, and behind the veil misshapen shadows lurk. Jim and the inhabitants of Hallow Grove soon find themselves caught up in a magical battle between two ancient races, and at the centre of it is a little girl who can save the lives of every living being on the planet.
