The Champagne Case

In Champagne, Emma discovers a crime that has fermented longer than the wine.

Emma King is half English, half French and one hundred percent disorganised. As the head wine buyer for her family’s business, she has a keen palate, generous heart and a fiercely loyal nature.

This Spring, Emma is on a mission to discover the perfect champagne for her sister’s upcoming marriage to her good friend, Paddy. She’s invited to her college friend Nico’s ancestral home and storied vineyards to taste various vintages in a picturesque village in France’s Champagne region.

But soon after the first cork is popped, her highly anticipated trip turns sour. A tenant on Nico’s property is murdered. The reclusive woman had made a drunken plea for help from Emma the day before at a farmer’s market. When Emma learns the victim was in witness protection, she worries she should have done more.

The investigation has more twists than the scenic roads, and becomes dangerous when Nico’s beloved grandmother is attacked. More secrets bubble to the surface, and Emma’s convinced at least one person isn’t who they claim they are, Can she uncork the killer’s identity before they strike again?
