The Christening

Michael Murphy is on a mission in his convertible car. At the beginning of his journey he narrowly misses running over a young girl caught in a rain storm. In an attempt to help her he turns to the local village, but finds that they are the source of her plight.
Set on the Dingle Peninsula in Southern Ireland during the Second World War, the story of Kate Spillane begins to unfold. Kate was not looking for love, but when Brendan Finucane, son of the “Lordy” is introduced to her by his own brother John, they fall for each other. This was the last thing that John had intended.

Soon to be a movie, The Christening is a romantic adventure that every guy gets brownie points for sharing with his girl and he gets to read it. It has action, drama, hair raising flying scenes, drinking, skulduggery and a couple of twists thrown in that are likely to injure the reader if they try to finish too fast. As for Michael Murphy? Make sure you have some Kleenex before you start. In a word, unputdownable.
