Young Professor Lewis Nelson and his journalist wife, Karissa's worlds are turned upside down when a murder in the City of Portland, Oregon makes its way to their front door. Karissa finds herself traumatized and focuses on self-healing while Lewis grows an irresistible feeling that causes him to think of nothing other than attempting to uncover the already seemingly closed case.
