Description de l’éditeur
This is a work of fiction. Maybe it should be explained as a hope of what could be done. The events and characters herein are imaginary and are not intended to refer to specific places or living persons. The political and financial needs identified within this novel are real. The potential solutions are almost real, except that someone with a lot of guts and fortitude would be required to authorize it. The people necessary to implement the Plan are available, probably unemployed and not hard to find. The United States is blessed with a cadre of minds that can out think and out plan almost any project. All they need is the authority.
This is the story of a group of consultants, actually three of them, that are tasked by the President to submit a Plan to "fix" the economy, and generally "fix" the rest of the things that are wrong with government of the United States today. Actually, the Consultants are asked to submit suggestions to the President and his Cabinet. Accepting or rejecting these ideas or actual implantation of the consultant's suggestions is up to the President, the Congress and the States. What none of them can escape are the potential solutions that are dropped on their door step by the Consultants.
The Consultants prime objective is to restore the Founding Fathers dream but not loose the modern technology and gadgets that we somehow could not live without.
The tasks and problems undertaken by this consultancy group are real. They all exist, and they all need fixing. And the first thing the consultants admit is that this is not all of the problems, just the tip of the iceberg. Absent any other or better name, the group decided to call their challenge "The Plan".
Their charter includes everything from amending the Constitution, with the consent of the States, to fixing term limits for the Congress, to attacking and reorganizing the public school system in every American community.
