The Finish Line

As a child, I kept two small dolls in a box.  I don't remember much beyond this in terms of my  development as a young girl.   I was groomed to be a nun and grew up without a sense of personal identity, the freedom to make choices or the confidence my life mattered.  My sense of value seemed to depend upon how useful I was. These deficits coupled with my skewed view of God, left me feeling isolated and unknown.  Gratefully, my story did not end in lingering doubts. I eventually found my voice as a     woman.  I have grown to live in freedom and dignity by God's grace.
