Extraordinary gem

Extraordinary book! I already know at first read it will become one of my favorite and I will re read it in the future.
It is a marvelous story with strong attaching characters, all deep, complex and well discribed. The setting is perfect, well pictured, realistic and comforting. The spying neighbors, the mysteries, secrets, family histories of each characters gives a real sincere tone to the story. Pyp the girl narrator is fantastic, so real you hear the little girl, her drawings are so lovely and she add a fresh point of view to the adults ones. Very funny too !
The writing is stunning as always. Lisa Jewell is a gem of a writer. As Stephen King she is a keen people watcher seeing every tiny details of other human beings that gives her story and character a deep realistic feeling. You are immersed into it completely. The story telling is so compelling you cannot stop reading and asking yourself questions about “who done it” and the ending is as surprising as original. Jewell is a clever master of suspense and sincere drama storyteller. Love this book deeply
