When seventeen-year-old Temperly takes a gig looking after a closed-up inn based in the mountains of Virginia, she can't believe her good luck. With foster care looming and a dope-peddling ex hell-bent on punishing her for a deal gone wrong, the chance to hide in seclusion and make a few bucks seems too good to be true. 

But strange things happen that can't be explained. Lights flicker. Taps turn on by themselves. Banging sounds keep her up at night. She's not afraid of ghosts, but when the unexplained turns dangerous she agrees to an investigation with the town's only paranormal experts - an aging medium and a precocious, ghost hunting child. With each photo taken and every question asked, they uncover secrets of the inn, each more horrifying than the last. As her past catches up to her, can she learn the grisly truth about the inn before it's too late?
