The Manor was a long composite of homesteads that had been built on the island over the years. Large ranch-style houses, surrounded by smaller buildings, formed three spokes that connected to a solidly-built three story building in the centre. The Island had a reputation — and Tania was about to discover how true it was.
After being taken to the island she had been given one chance to escape, but it was no real chance for the dogs would easily find her in the time given to the hunting party to ensnare their quarry. Thus it was the men in the hunting party bound Tania and carried her back with a metal pole run through her bondage so she was carried like a lump of meat back to the Manor.
Later that day Tania was taken from the main hall and led down and away from the various dwelling places to a nondescript building off to one side of the central complex, a place where the huntsmen could take advantage of her in any way they chose.
