When Amy-Hope's parents separate, she and her dad move to a new house. Next door lives a shy, reclusive lady, who Amy-Hope wants to befriend. Their shared love of dogs and dance leads to a friendship which will give both of them more than they ever imagined.
The story is told through Amy-Hope's diary and letters that Anna writes to her brother, but never sends.
