The Prayer Box

When recently widowed Susan Gold unpacks her belongings in Florida she is surprised to see a small wooden box with strange writing on it. She soon learns that, according to the mysticism of Kabbalah, the box has magical healing powers. 

Susan sets out on a harrowing mission to understand where the  box came from and why she was chosen to possess it.  

Along the way she learns that she is one of thirty-six righteous people in the world who are chosen to have a prayer box. She also discovers that there are unscrupulous people who will stop at nothing to get their hands on these prayer boxes. 

When Susan's granddaughter, Rachel, is diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and the prayer box is powerless to help, she turns to Jeff Morton, a retired dentist with a mystical surprise of his own. 

Will Rachel be saved? Can Susan find a way to use the prayer box and keep it hidden? How will she survive further attempts on her life? What is Jeff Morton's secret and what role will he play in her future?
