The Recipe

The Recipe is loosely based on the lives of my parents, who met and married in 1950's rural Mississippi. I believe my parents had the perfect recipe for love; the ingredients that blended their souls in a flawless and eternal dance. My goal was to create characters that people will care about; like the relatives you see only every few years, whose picture stays on your fridge and to whom you send the occasional fruitcake. This serving of Southern Fiction takes the reader on a journey where they encounter many colorful and eccentric characters. If you liked "Fried Green Tomatoes" and "The Notebook," then The Recipe will resonate with you.
