The Rise of Smitt

In the year 1984, with the world on the brink of nuclear war, two 10-year-old boys discover, in the depths of a tunnel, a portal which seems to take them to an alternate reality. They form a plan — when the war begins they intend to use the tunnel to escape their deaths. But what awaits them in that other world? And how can they be sure the bombs won’t fall there too?

The war is not the boys’ only peril, however. A homeless man who parents believe is a danger to their children lurks in the shadows striking fear into the heart of the town’s youngsters.
