The Sojourner

At twenty-four, Joy Raines has never truly known what a home was, until her parents die tragically in a plane crash.  As an only child, she travels to a foreign land, which is her home, only a home she never knew.  Amidst her doubts, she wonders what may lay ahead for her future.  What she discovers is beyond her imagination.

While being forced to deal with her parent's secret, she finds things she would have never dreamed.  A family, new friends, a true purpose, and love.  Throughout the journey she must decide if she can trust herself and love, or return to the comfort of Africa.

The Sojourner is a story about perseverance through trials, hardships, and abuse, and how one can grow to trust and find love in the most unusual ways.
