The Tower of Babbling

There is a desert, a small desert in the heart of a dense rainforest, surrounded by land untouched by humans and unseen by civilization. Here the sand blows and small animals scurry for shelter in the mid-day sun. In the midst of this, stands a tower. A massive building undiscovered for generations, waiting for another human to stumble upon it. Tall and silent, all who enter discover something ancient, something created for knowledge, guarded by the building’s own creations.

When a man becomes lost and cornered in the desert, he is hoping for salvation from the harsh landscape. Coming to the tower is his only resort when he must choose between wandering and a chance at shelter. But what he finds instead is a building that babbles and considers humanity to be gods. Now a target of the tower’s fascination as one of its proclaimed deities to satisfy its thirst for knowledge. A creation in search of information about the beings that long ago brought it to life.
