The Unreturning Spring

James Farrar would have been a major literary figure if he had not died in the Second World War at the age of 20 attempting to attempt to destroy a flying bomb. He had a deep love of nature and the countryside and also wrote on his life in the Royal Air Force. His writings were put together by his mother, edited by Henry Williamson and published to acclamation in 1950.
