Description de l’éditeur

In 1984, Dorothy Hall founded the Australian Traditional-Medicine Society (ATMS). In the same year, Marie Fawcett became the founding Company Secretary. ATMS initially operated from the Dorothy Hall College of Herbal Medicine in Rozelle, Sydney, where Marie worked on a part-time basis. In 1987, the ATMS office relocated to operate from Nature Care college in Artarmon, Sydney, where Marie continued to work by herself on a part-time basis. In 1989, the ATMS membership had grown that it was able to rent its own premises, and relocated to Ryde, Sydney. Marie now began working on a fulltime basis. She soon afterwards was able to employ part-time staff. By 1995, the operations had grown to an extent that larger premises were needed, and hence the move to Meadowbank where the office still remains. In 1997, ATMS purchased the office it was renting, and in a short period thereafter, purchased a further 2 office units. By 2000, the membership had further expanded so that eight fulltime staff were needed to assist Marie.
