About The Author


An author, folklorist and educational activist, Sailabala Mahapatra is a senior teacher in the School Education Department of Odisha, presently posted at Puri. She has six Odia books to her credit. Also she has translated 15 books for children. Sailabala Mahapatra has presented thematic papers in various prestigious national and international seminars. She has also been associated with several national and international organizations, including National Institute of Open Schooling, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, National Centre for Childrens Literature, NCERT, SCERT, SRC (BBSR), Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, Directorate of Adult Education, UNICEF, UNESCO, and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, as an expert.
